Checkout that snaps into any storefront.
Neuron Cart is a drop-in cart, checkout, and order layer. Bring your own storefront — any framework, any stack — and snap in a checkout with text-login identity built in.
Limited slots · founder pricing · a Xumulus product
Two pieces. Bring your own front.
Commerce is really two problems: the storefront shoppers browse, and the checkout that takes their money. Neuron Cart is the second one — deliberately independent of the first. Our own storefront is coming, but you don't have to wait for it, and you don't have to use it.
Your storefront
Neuron Cart
Storefronts got easy. Checkout didn't.
Point an agent at a reference and you'll have a working storefront by the afternoon. That part is genuinely new, and it's why we didn't build a platform that insists on owning your front end.
Checkout is the opposite kind of problem. Payments, tax, shipping rules, refunds, order state, identity — unglamorous work, entirely made of edge cases, and the last place you want anything improvising. It's also where a store quietly loses money when it's wrong.
So we split the hard half off and finished it. Build the front however you like — by hand, from a starter, or with an agent — and snap in a checkout that already holds up.
Your login is a text message.
No password. No account-creation friction. The phone number is the identity. And because it happens natively at checkout — the moment of highest intent — you capture three things in a single motion:
Most tools bolt SMS consent on as an afterthought popup. Neuron owns it at the identity layer. That's not a feature strapped to a cart; it's a different starting point.
Post-purchase, back-in-stock, win-back — sequences triggered off real order and identity data, not a guess.
Programmable offers that fire on the events you choose, wired to the same data model as everything else.
Dimensional weight, multi-origin, freight thresholds, oversized and hazmat exceptions — rules that survive a real catalog.
A 50,000-SKU fitment catalog or a single-product launch — the flows don't care how big you are.
Don't want to wire it up yourself?
We're shipping starter storefronts so you can go from zero to a working store with a real checkout in an afternoon. Astro first, more to follow. Or ignore them entirely and call the API from whatever you already run.

Questions people actually ask.
What's the best checkout for a store built by an AI agent?
One you don't have to build. An agent can produce a storefront quickly, but cart, checkout, payments, tax, shipping rules, and order state are edge-case work you don't want improvised. Neuron Cart is an API-driven cart and checkout layer: your agent builds the front end, Neuron Cart handles the part that takes money.
Can I add a real cart to a site I built with Claude, Cursor, or v0?
Yes. If your site can make an HTTP request, it can use Neuron Cart. There's no required framework, template, or theme — you own the storefront your agent generated and call the cart, checkout, and order APIs from it.
Do I need Shopify or another platform to sell online?
No. You need two things: a storefront and a checkout. Platforms bundle them and ask you to accept their front end in the process. Neuron Cart unbundles them, so you own the storefront and buy only the checkout.
How do I add checkout to an Astro, Next.js, or SvelteKit site?
Call the Neuron Cart API from your existing routes, or start from a Neuron starter storefront with checkout already wired — Astro first, more frameworks following. Static sites work too, since the cart runs as a service rather than a build step.
What is a drop-in checkout?
A cart, checkout, and order system you add to a storefront you already have, instead of rebuilding the storefront around it. Sometimes called headless checkout. You build your storefront; Neuron Cart is the commerce layer you call.
What is text-login, and why does it matter?
Text-login uses a phone number and a one-time SMS code as the account, so there's no password and no account-creation step. Because it happens at checkout, you capture authenticated identity, SMS marketing consent, and the customer record in one motion instead of chasing consent with a popup later.
Does this work for large or complex catalogs?
Yes, and for a single product. Neuron Cart handles deep variants, fitment-driven catalogs, and B2B shipping rules — dimensional weight, multi-origin, freight thresholds, oversized and hazmat exceptions — without requiring a large catalog to be worth using.
Is Neuron Cart available, and what does it cost?
Neuron Cart is in private beta and free for beta merchants. At general availability there are four self-serve tiers — Starter at $49/mo, Growth at $199/mo, Freight at $499/mo for LTL and SSO, and Enterprise by contact. Beta merchants keep founder pricing when billing switches on.
